The cost of Cyber Essentials Certification follows a tiered pricing structure which adopts the internationally recognised definition for micro, small, medium and large enterprises. In addition to these flat rate fees, Intouch charge an additional fee to undertake the entire process on your behalf. The additional fees will be determined by the size and complexity of your network.

Yes, organisations overseas are able to get certificates.

The simple answer is no. Before you can move onto the Cyber Essentials Plus, you must first pass the Cyber Essentials basic certification, as the Plus audit assesses the information provided in your Cyber Essentials questionnaire. Once CE basic is achieved, you must pass your CE+ within 90 days.

Cyber Essentials basic is a self-assessed and independently verified questionnaire. The assessment has 70 questions which qualify that your current approach to securing your business is in-line with the CE framework. Cyber Essentials Plus provides a higher level of assurance, it involves us auditing your systems utilising many vulnerability tools to test the effectiveness of the security measures in place.

While the Cyber Essentials scheme provides a good baseline of cyber security, it does not go into the same level of detail as other security standards such as ISO 27001. Cyber Essentials is a great way for organisations who may have no cyber security certification, to begin taking steps into formalising their cyber resilience into a recognised accreditation. Many of our customers who have achieved Cyber Essentials & Cyber Essentials Plus certification have gone on to achieve ISO 27001; however, the approach to achieving ISO 27001 requires many procedural and technical controls to be in place which would not be covered by Cyber Essentials alone.
