Microsoft Power Automate is used to automate repetitive business processes such as approvals, notifications, data entry, invoice handling, employee onboarding, file management, CRM updates, and reporting workflows.
Until July 27, 2025, Power Automate supports work or school email addresses, or anything that doesn't end in .gov and .mil. After July 27, 2025, you're required to sign in with a Microsoft work or school email address. Power Automate will no longer support personal email accounts, such as gmail.com or outlook.com.
To use Power Automate, all you need are a web browser and an email address. Supported email addresses are described in the next question.
